Giselle Cosplay Pattern Help

I've been thinking about cosplaying Giselle from the movie Enchanted. I really want to make her blue dress if I could but I can't find any patterns similar to it nor can I find the fabric. I do use eBay quite a lot so if any one know what the pattern or textile is, could you please let me know. Also I noticed everyone seems to do an awesome job on this cosplay which made me wonder if some bought costumes because everyone's is so uniform. If that' the case then does any one know where I could buy one. I found her wedding dress but it was rather off. Thanks! ^-^

There are a few commercial patterns available that are pretty darn close.

I'm also going to recommend the butterick pattern that digit posted. You might have to decrease the size of the sleeves, but it should work.

As for fabric, it might be some sort of a brocade/sari fabric, although I've seen people use a calico cotton fabric for it too. You could also get some fabric(maybe a satin?) that matches the main color of the dress and paint the designs on(embroider if you're really ambitious). You might also want to check some smaller fabric stores. I don't think I've ever seen fabric that looks like that in JoAnn's, so it might be wise to hit up some other stores.

Sari fabric would work O.O I never thought of that. The fabric stores for indian dress have that kind of floral embroidered material with bright colors. I'll have to check next time! ^-^

Wow-- that pattern is nearly a perfect match! Add a little fullness to the skirt and it's there!
