Arrow Anyone know about Pokemon Cards?

Yes, with the New Year comes major cleaning and I happened to find a binder with some Pokemon Cards. (198 of them!)
A few of them are holo's and I also had a few Digimon cards in there, some are actual cards and others were collectible paper cards when Fox Kids use to issue the member's magizines back when I was a little girl.
All of them are in perfect condition but I have no clue where to start selling them!

I live in Indiana and have never had to sell cards before, but I know a lot of people buy these Pokemon Cards and seeing as I have no use for them, I'd love to get some extra cash to help with my cosplay budget!

Does anyone know where I can get maybe a price guide or know of collectors who might be looking for cards like these?
If ya do and you need maybe pictures of just a list, I can get that up!

I dont know nothing about that, but I'd say a deck of 198 Pokemon cards would make a killer poker game.

Pokermon. The marketing practically writes itself.

I've got a massive box of them... I was going to give them to my friend's little brother, but then I, er, had a better idea (*coughCARDDRESScough*)

I had a brief look on Ebay and it seemed like the market was pretty stale... there were a few cards that people were really after but they were mostly the new ones, overall the cards that WERE selling were going for between 10p and 50p. Mind you, this is the UK, maybe it's better in the US?

+1 to check Ebay. What a card is "worth" doesn't always accurately reflect what people are actually paying for them. I sold most of mine before the fad died, but from what I've seen, the market's pretty stale here as well. Maybe in another 20 years they'll be worth more again.

I have some friends who got back into the TCG after years of not playing. All those original cards are no longer "legal" for playing. They've released entirely new sets with some slightly different rules and now you can only use the new cards. Explains why the older ones aren't going for very much.

I don't think you'd get a lot of money (certainly not what you paid for them originally). Maybe years from now when they're a nostalgia kick, but the avid players can't use them anymore so I don't think they're worth what they were when the craze was full tilt. :\

I'm a collector... I grew up with Pokémon cards and can't just let it go. XD
I believe other collectors would be interested if you wrote down what cards you have, what condition they are in and what set and of course if they're in good condition. ^^
Try to sell them at ebay or something, or ask people around you... or take them with you to a con.

Best of luck!

^ This.
I remember being really pissed as a kid that they added like a bagillion new Pokemon after I'd collected all the first cards.

That's right! I know Anime Boston has a swap meet, and I'm sure other cons have something like that...

Yeah, the original Pokemon cards aren't worth very much. I had about 500+ cards and sold them this past summer for $2 for a random pick of 50 on ebay. They're not worth as much now as they were when they were "legal" in playing.
