A friend of mine was kind enough to take pictures while I was at a con, unfortunately there were so many people crowding around to get a shot of the monster my friend ended up not getting the creatures head in the picture. I had to do a bit of photomanipulation on this to try and reattach the head as it made me look like a hobbit next to it. Also did my best to blur out the people in the background, I hate how bright the cloak is, but it was the only way I could figure out how to blend the two pictures so the head looked like it belonged on there.

I think, over-all, the image has a nice look. The head seems well attached, but is is hard to notice it with the brighter body. A brighter background behind the head would make the head stand out better. The blurred background works well, but you got sloppy around the edges. Blend the blur using the clone tool set to near 30%. I have done this very carefully in images such as this:http://www.cosplay.com/photo/2326342/

Your white cape is blown too bright. You can bring it down using the burn tool, or go to Image, Adjust, Shadow/Highlight.

Thank you so much for the critique, I have zero experience with photoshop except for playing with lighting effects, so I was mostly just playing around with things to try and get the effect I wanted.

Thanks again, I'll definitely try what you suggested to make it better.

needs a bittt more refinement.

the person needs a blur or some red tint or any other creative effect you want to try out - depends how much you want it to be realistic.

I make photos, not take them.
