Man I hate whole-grain bread. Surprise surprise, guess what I had no choice but to buy today? We were out of bread and I needed it before tomorrow... all the normal/cheaper kinds of bread I eat were completely sold out at the grocery store and I wasn't about to spend almost $4 on a fancy brand when I'm on a tight budget, the corner store is wayyyyyy too overpriced to buy from, and when I tried the bakery surplus store near my house (they have day-old bread, which seriously is no difference at all for texture or taste, for anywhere from $1.50 to 50 cents)... literally ALL they had was shitty 12-grain bread. Ugh. I can't stand the stuff, period. I may as well just go shove my face in a field of random grains and graze like a cow.

Last thing I made was cinnamon banana bread.
http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/b...ipe/index.html
I skipped the milk and threw in an extra banana.

Currently craving cheesecake, although I'm not sure what kind. So I'm staring at the cheesecake factory menu deciding what I want to recreate.

What type of wood was it, but despite I don't think wood would taste to good unless your a beaver. XP

Speaking of asian that's right I have thai iced tea in the fridge! SCORE!

I just discovered something fun to eat. Make Somen noodles, add some soba soup base put it in a tupperware dish and forget it over night. They turn stickey and rubbery but still nummy, and not rubbery to chew. Like stickey string cheese, but with out the cheese.

Yes it is sadly. Not a very lovely diet to be on. I'm very sorry to hear your on a diet like that SV.

PS: Don't try a diet like that unless directed and under direction of a doctor.

I will make Sam so much bacon on the day he's allowed fat foods.

I haven't had breakfast yet so I am thinking of making a bowl of rice with scrambled eggs and bacon on top.
Sounds legit.

I was once on a low-carb diet...I got really bad dizzy spells. I am never doing that again.

I've just been handed an entire shopping bag full of (home grown) greengages to make a curd with.

I didn't even know there was such a thing until I looked in the bag. They taste a bit like sour plums.

It was something my mom was doing. She then decided. "Hey, I'm on this thing so you kids (referring to me and my brother) are going on it with me." Yeah. Bad idea mom...Fail.

I just got back from my first blackberry picking trip of the year. It turned up 4.5 oz. (I'll need a pound for my mead). Hopefully the rest of them will start ripening soon. =3

Putting a kid on any diet unless they're actually overweight or with some other medical condition, ESPECIALLY when it's a fad diet like no carbs or no no fat or whatever, is an AWFUL idea. Several kids have actually died from parents making them eat a diet completely unsuitable for a growing kid (if even an ADULT wouldn't get adequate nutrition and calories on it, how the hell is it supposed to be suitable for a child?).
