Guys, guys, my fiance went to the bakery while I was at work, and look what we're eating now!
They are so delicious, especially the pistachio ones. <3

I visited my aunt for my cousin's baptism this past weekend in New Jeresy. When we all came back at her house to have the celebration party, the food was absolutely delicious. My other aunt (that had visited as well) made tacos that were just so good omg I cant even describe how good they were x3. Honestly, no words. The cake was really good too, considering it wasnt a "typical" cake flavour like chocolate; and it wasnt too sweet. I think it was vanilla as the base and dulce de leche (meaning "sweet milk"; a popular sweet spread used by Hispanic people that you can eat by itself or of course use in other deserts) as a filling. Really good.
And on that note, my dad makes these real good chicken empanadas x3. You can also eat them with a sauce thats basically made from tomatoes, vinegar (that being the main point of the sauce), peppers and onion . |

I tried making macarons again last night, but they were an abysmal failure. It might have been because I forgot to measure the egg whites before whipping them, or because I used almond flour that might have been a little stale, or some other reason entirely, but the bottoms of one batch burnt so much I had to throw them out, and none of them developed a proper foot or even tasted vaguely like a macaron should. Back to the drawing board.

If we ever figure out the secret behind macarons, I really want to try making these, because they look hilarious.

I'm not too upset with myself; despite consisting of so few ingredients and being essentially uncomplicated to prepare, macarons are notoriously difficult to get right, so I'm giving myself a break. I used this recipe for mine.

Had a taro bun today. Also some noodle soup because it was my dad's birthday, and according to my parents long noodles symbolize a long life D:
