Maybe it's just the angle, but those tarts look unusually shallow. However, they also still look DELICIOUS and now I'm craving butter tarts. Thanks Bisected :P

Well they're about 2cm/1" high, so (hopefully) it's just the angle....¨_¨"

Looks like a good first go! How do they taste? Besides sweet as hell.

Sweet as hell pretty much sums them up (maybe slightly creamy).

I might try them again, but add a few walnuts.

Yeah, they're similar to pecan tarts minus pecans. Some people put walnuts in them too, but I could never stand nuts in them myself.

I was making banana fritters, but I had a bit of batter at the end of it so I also chopped up and fried an apple and a pear. Fun times.

Trying scallop macaroni and cheese for dinner. So far it smells fantastic. And scallops are always yummy.

I love fritters. Fritter anything, I'll probably eat it.

How did it work with pears? Apple fritters are known to us of old, but I'm interested to know how a pear's texture holds up to frying.

Quite well actually. They had about the same consistency as the apple fritters. The only difference was the flavour.
