I only substituted meat when I really needed to, and when I did I usually used tofu. Otherwise I simply just left it out. Like when I made lasagna, I put a ton of veggies into the sauce, and layered spinach in as well. I didn't need a meat substitute. I rarely ate meat before I was a vegetarian anyway, so it wasn't much of a change.

Why must the universe always shove Mexican food in my face? I really hate Mexican food as I'm sensitive to spicy things. It seems like my family and friends are always dragging me to Mexican restaurants knowing how I feel about it. On a slightly different note, I was once called racist for my dislike of Mexican food. It was a real WTF moment.

A burger sounds sooooo good right now. *_* I only ever really started enjoying them when I got to college. XD Before I was always "ew, red meat" and now I'm like "MOAR ENERGY NAO!"

Lol, he's just like that anyway. I'm making seafood paella for mother's day:  But right now I'm craving the Canadian-famous La poutine:  Is it a wonder I'm not rolling down the street for exercise?

1) Poutine is one of my all time favourite foods ever. Topped only by the Montreal smoked meat sandwich from Schwartz in... well... Montreal. I love that place so much.
2) I saw a burger at a local place I so wanted to try but decided I would rather live instead. It was call the Heartachoke burger. 1/4 or 1/2 pound burger (I forget) bacon, cheese, lettuce and all that stuff... ketchup, mayo and mustard. Normal burger things and that... but no bun. Instead there are two grilled cheese sandwiches. One for the top and one for the bottom. I felt like having a heart attack just looking at the picture! One day I will be brave enough to try this sandwich. One day....

Yep. Pure Canadian who loves her pure poutine (pure as in, not turned into those other weird poutine-based dishes I've seen. yeck.).
I'd like to eat more Russian/Ukrainian food, myself. I've loved everything I HAVE tried, but I've heard of plenty of delicious dessert foods that I MUST TRY. Sadly, there's no Russian restaurants around here. Just a guy in the market square twice a week who has some of the more famous dishes as streetfood (apple dumpling, perogies, cabbage roll, occasionally borsche...). But they sell out REALLY fast.

Strangely enough, I don't like Poutine. *GASP!!* But that's just because I don't like gravy. XD
Edit: Man, I really love leftovers. My aunt and cousin were visiting today, so my mom and I took them out to dinner. Now it's midnight and I'm eating the delicious leftover pasta I brought home <3
