Vietnamese for dinner again. Omnomnom. And Lindt chocolates were on sale, so I splurged on a mint-chocolate bar.

Dinner was the second best clam strips I've ever had, hush puppies (both homemade) and roasted asparagus using Alton Brown's recipe. The clam was so sweet and tender, though our coating wasn't quite as good as the stuff they make at the fish market where we got the clams (but their recipe is secret).

Well this thread is right up my alley. I just had leftover Cajun Chicken Pasta from Chili's, my ServSafe culinary class is currently trying to figure out the spice mix for this week's catering gig.

Went to dinner with the parental units. I had calf liver, it was on top of mashed potatoes with a side of green beans. My tummy is happy.

I may or may not be forced to go to a street party today.

Since you need to bring something to it, I baked this.

Since it's a good time to be stereotypically British, I just had a massive bangers & mash meal (with three different types of sausage).

Onion rings are the best. Especially at little independant food places or at pubs; they just taste better. Had 'em with Fish 'n' Chips today. Mmmm!

And fireside s'more tea? <3!

Oh yeah, I love onion rings. At one pub I've eaten at a few times, they occasionally give you onion rings on the side; they fry half a freaking onion in one go. They're HUGE. I thought they were potatoes at first.

Last night I made chicken-fried steak and gravy, SV made mashed potatoes, and we ate them with arugula and grape tomatoes. Then we had a chocolate chip skillet cookie with ice cream for dessert.

Today we made fried eggs, buttermilk biscuits, peaches macerated with cinnamon sugar, and maple-candied bacon for breakfast.

Life's good.
