Just got my 11th Doctor sonic screwdriver in the mail today! It's bigger than I expected it to be, especially when it extends! At least the main prop for my Doctor Who costume is done and over with. Now I can move on and put together the actual costume...

so i am going a little overboard and trying to do three different cosplays at once! i fell like i've missed out since i didn't do anything at all last year or go to any cons even due to school and feel i must make up for my short comings.


for princess tutu cosplay
i recently bought a beautiful white tripp dress from hot topic because i thought it was cute and could be modified into a cosplay outfit. and i was right!
I bought pink tulle to make for the underskirting of her tutu. I already have loads of pink ribbon and just need the pink pointe slippers and to make her feather headpiece and its awesome!

currently the cosplay that's my main undertaking is Sakura of cardcaptors. I recently bought the pink material and the pieces for her star wand. (i even painted them today! ^.^)
i still need to find the best pattern for her outfit but i don't think it'll be to challenging.


the cosplay that is at the forefront of my mind but still on the back burner due to difficulty and money constrants is Dark Mousy from dnangel. he is my very favorite anime character and i want to make his lond trench with buckles all down the front. for me if its not perfect then i don't want to cosplay him. He's the coolest anti-protagonist. lol and i think that if i don't have the time or money to make it to the best of my ability then he'll just have to wait til i do. I don't even see him making an appearance til 2012 anyway. but i did get the pattern for the trench coat. i personally want to make alot of pieces for his costume including outfits for underneathe his costume as well. so if it gets to hot then no worries! and his wings are a huge expenditure i'm not ready for.....

Oh wow, Dark Mousy! It's been a couple of years since I read D.N.Angel but I'm watching the anime soon. I've got a bunch to watch though.

Just got a ton of orange duck fabric, cream muslin, elastic, ribbon, red chord, foam paper, and white scrap fabric for Yoruichi.

I feel so good right now for finding such a perfect shade of orange, I'm even more excited to see the end result.

So i went out on a whim today and thought i'd check out a wig/extension store for purple hair for my Dark Mousy cosplay. I hit a GOLD MINE! i got ALL the materials and supplies i'd need to make his wig for just 10 dollars! i was soooooooo happy! i even danced in the back of the store and i know the shop owners thought i was weird because they both started chatting rapidly in chinese to each other after a moment of my dancing.... ^^'

edit: oh and i also got more paint for my sakura outfit and feathers for both sakura and tutu as well.

I bought a pair of Japanese indoor school shoes for my Azusa cosplay.
The sizes chart really confused me and you had to actually message them with the size/colour you wanted (you couldn't choose from a drop-down menu or anything) so I'm HOPING that they'll be the right size and colour!

finally got the pattern for cardcaptor sakura dress! now i can start sewing!
and some ribbons.

picked up black leggings for dark mousy cosplay and eyelets and ribbon for part of the outfit.

My latest cosplay purchase was actually a sewing machine...a little Janome Hello Kitty machine! :3 No more having to go to my mom's house. I guess as far as supplies for a costume, some clear elastic for my Princess Kraehe costume. (I am glad to see some more Princess Tutu love!)
