Alright, now is the time to start talking about meet-ups. I figured we could discuss it in a separate thread so we don't derail the big ol' costume discussion thread (also to keep from scouring the pages to see who will be at what con). I've noticed our sizes have grown large enough that we -will- see each other at cons, and it will be easier to arrange meet-ups so we can take photos.

Personally, I've never done official meet-ups and I know some cons try their best to organize these groups by time and location so one groups won't invade another's space.

I will list a few cons I've noticed some people discuss in the main thread, and if you will be in attendance please list which cons you're attending, your costume, what day you will wear it, and if there is any preferred time to meet. Costume listing isn't totally necessary, but if you're undecided (like me) about what to bring and you see someone has a costume you would love to couple with it is beneficial to know the costume roster.

I've already mentioned this in the other big thread, but I'm going to start working on Miranda's new armor from the Appearance Pack DLC after it's released next week. I'm hoping to get it done in time for ACen this year.

Unfortunately, I don't think I can help with the dates or times for a photoshoot. I'm part of a skit that's during a panel, and since panels are not approved until a much later date, and you can't pick a time slot for them, I have no idea when that'll be. I just have to hope that if it is approved it doesn't clash with my other shoots. ><; I will do my best to make it to whatever day/time gets decided though!

As for a location, usually people pick depending on the estimated size or popularity of a series so that the location has enough room to accomodate all the cosplayers and photographers, but they also pick a spot that has scenery that fits the series. The cosplay gatherings "Stuff To Know" thread on the ACen forums has pictures of all the photoshoot locations.

Maybe one of the indoor locations, like the Lower Dome or East Indoor Wall would work? Those are a bit smaller areas, but there's also the Loading Docks Left or Loading Docks Right that are both outside. Those are definitely the biggest photoshoot areas in terms of size, and they look a little more, er, "industrial"?

I hope that helps some! Hopefully, other people will respond too and give you some more solid days and times!

Thanks shell! I took a look at those last week and I really like VII the lower done too! The only thing I'm afraid of when doing outdoor photos is the potential of rain. Our asaris would not be pleased xD I know they have a rain backup but I don't like it too much.
The front entrance is so nice <3 but it does say its hard for the point and shoot cameras. I personally think the smaller areas are fine since we would be a smaller group compared to something like a Kingdom Hearts meet or something.

edit: For Acen people...how do you feel about a late afternoon/evening meet? I was looking at the acen gathering list and they said anything mature has to be an evening time gathering. I don't think our costumes are mature rated (racy, etc), but the game content is. I'll have to ask cactus mama if she thinks we'd have to be an evening meet.
