Washing a wig

Recently i have found out that the wig i always had have a lot of frizz. I guess I had been brushing it too much and now sometimes it causes tangles.
Anyway I have been thinking if washing the wig might help.
the instructions said all i have to do is to put the wig in water and wash it with mild soap, and after it'll bounce back to the style once it's dried.
I was wondering if it'll make to wig to lose it's high quality after washing or is it going to be the same as before? does it help getting rid of the frizzes?

The frizziness is often caused by over zealous brushing. It stretche the fibers, permanently distorting them. May be savagable. might not. : /

Check out the Cosplay.com FAQ. There is a Q&A for how to detangle a wig, which might also help with your frizzing problem.
