Has anyone considered putting together something/one from the spin-off, Oriko Magica? I think I'll be coming back to animecons and cosplaying in general after the past 2 years of real life, and Kure Kirika seems to be the choice for me. I would love to see some Oriko characters at cons! If I knew anyone small enough, I would want to squeeze them into a Yuma costume to drag along with my Kyouko, haha.

There's also Kazumi Magica. I actually really like some of the designs in that one, although a few of them are kind of revealing. I don't think I'd cosplay any of those.

I'm still have trouble tracking down gold fabric for her 3 months later. >_>

Hey there everyone...

I'm working on a Mami cosplay and I've been stuck for a while on the belts that go on her corset. Today I found a website with some promising buckles, but the ones I want only come in packs of 10. I was wondering if anyone would be interested in buying some from me if I find that they will work well.

For Mami I bought theses buckles to go with these end loops on etsy. The colour of these two brasses match up nicely.

So I've been sucked into the amazing world of Madoka. I finished the series recently and I want to make a few of the costumes! I don't have an absolute favorite in the series, I found all of the characters to be loveable in their own ways, which makes choosing quite difficult! Usually I only have one or two characters that really stand out to me in a series , especially one as short as Madoka. I think I'm going to start by making an original Puella (Magic Girl) version of Charlotte. I am going to start sketching up some ideas for it and hopefully debut her at AWA!

I totally know what you mean, the show was so amazing with so many fantastic characters!

I ended up choosing Mami after carefull consideration as to which character out of all the ones I loved that I could do the most justice to. (tho, Himura is prob at the top of my faves I just don't feel I could pull her off very well ) Mami just seemed the logical choice for me, all things considered. (also especially since I do really adore her and she was definitely in my top faves)

I was on the fence about it but I managed to find most of the fabric for a Mami costume today at a local fabric store sale so I guess it's official, I'm joining the Madoka Magica cosplay train.

I'm really excited, I loved watching the series so much.

I'd like to be Homura, because she has the most simple Puella Magi uniform, but even hers is still pretty rigorous to make if I want to go for it looking precisely like the anime ver.

I might do a Charlotte cosplay though, because she's cute.

managed to find a decent homu-purple on sale for $4.50/yard at joann's the other weekend. it's not standard stock fabric, so I'm lucky they had promo fabric in the right color. I'm pretty happy with the color, although IMO the quality is sort of sketchy. but without any other options available, I'm going to do my best to work with it.

(ignore the red fabrics beside it, they're for a different costume.)
