That's really cool! I've heard this method talked about a lot, but I hadn't yet thought of looking up a video for how to do it. I'll be needing to make some ridiculous spikes before too long (DBZ-style Super Saiyan spikes... yikes), so this should be a great reference when I do. Thanks a bunch for taking the time to make the video!

By the way, how long do you s'pose it'll be before we see part 2?

Well part two is just a time-lapse video I'm putting together to show how I did the wig.

I have two other vids I'm editing (Grimmjow and another character) that explains more techniques to wig styling.

Will the got2b stuff make the wig shiny?

I find that different colors can have a reaction to the stuff and either become shiny or not. Darker colors tend to be more shiny than the lighter shades.

If the shiny look is what you want, I recommend using Got2B glued pomade after you spike your wig.

Actually, shiny is something I'm trying to avoid XD Natural hair is shiny, yes, but my wig is too shiny - it's very obvious that it's a wig. I'm trying to tone that down to a more matted kind of thing.

I'd test it out. If your wig is already shiny it's probably because of the fibers used to make the wig.

Ooh this is very informative! I read about this method before and tried it out, but I'm more of a visual learner so it didn't come out amazing(plus, the wig was kind of thin, so that spiky parts weren't as thick as I would have liked). Everything makes so much more sense now! lol I'll definitely be subscribing. :]

Tutorials are always most helpful when in video format. Especially when supplimented by text descriptions. So, thank you for posting this!

I watched both your videos, faved'em, and subscribed to your channel. They were a big help, and I really appreciate you posting them. Thanks, and good luck with your commissions. If I fail too hard trying to style my wig myself, at least now I know who to turn to to commission it. lol.

You've made spiking wigs that much easier for me. Thank you very much. Never thought of spraying just the base of the spikes to keep the hair up easier...duh.

The only spiking method I always use is:
-Pull Root-to-Tip
-Twist and Pull again
One of the easiest methods I use to spike my hair.
If I wanted a more natural look I just don't twist as much.
Source: I'm Asian and I spike my hair a lot.
