Your Favorite Photoshoot Location
So, I am currently on vacation (Madrid, Spain) and I have been thinking lately, that the places that I have been to had great cosplay photoshoot locations (I travel a lot, been to Spain, Portugal, England, Ireland, China, Italy, France, Singapore, Australia). So this has made me want to present you guys with this question.
Out of all the places that you have had photoshoots at, which place was your favorite? Or, which location would you really love to shoot at? It would be awesome if you could include links to photos (your own, or location photos from online) in your posts as I would love to see some different locations Also, if anyone could point me to some good locations in Europe (major cities) for my own photoshoots that would also be great. My favorite place so far, obviously, would be London. Just because that city had so many great buildings and small alley ways that were perfect for video shooting and cosplay photos for my Sweeney cosplay Unfortunately I don't have great photos of that location because I mainly just shot parts of my Sweeney remakes there, but yea.

I live in France near Paris, and there a lot of nice locations I can be at in less than an hour, but one of the big problems is that for a lot of them, you need a special authorization to shoot. For example it is close to impossible to do a shoot within the Versailles castle, even for historical costumes.
The most beautiful place I've shot at is probably Chambord castle, and I only got to shoot there because we were the official photogs of an historical costume event : ![]() Inside Paris is a nightmare if you want to shoot inside buildings, fortunately you can shoot in the street with a small team without being bothered by anyone. I did a very nice shoot in the Saint-Michel/Notre Dame area : ![]() In my experience, the further from Paris, the easier it is to get to shoot in beautiful locations. Paris is simply too crowded with tourists. |

I've never done a shoot here, but I would really love to. It's called Spring Grove Cemetery in Cincinnati Ohio.

Ashurachan- Those photos are amazing! Lovely locations and cosplays!
I understand about the restricted locations. Most historical areas and fancy buildings don't enjoy people taking photos, especially people in costume. bodatheyoda- that looks amazing! I'd love to do a shoot there as well (not for my cosplay, but maybe for one of my friends) xD That old church might be ok for my cosplay though, love the doors on the front of it.

The less well-known it is, the easier it becomes to get to shoot. In the Paris area quite a lot of interesting places are manageable if you ask in advance (and shoot, for example, on the day they're closed) ; outside of Paris being polite can be enough, especially with nice costumes. And there are a lot of nice parks that are freely accessible (not in Paris directly, but just a few miles away there are places like Sceaux that look gorgeous and don't mind private shoots at all). |

Romania.
I want to just carry my cosplays up there one day when I go to visit and take photos in the mountain side/ country side. Specially 'Dracula's Castle' (Vlad Tempece or Vlad the Impaler) that could double up for Orochimaru's lair and a place where Grell would hang out. But sadly, I'd probably be bothered by tourists/the natives since they are so judgmental with everything. London is also a place I'd like to visit and have a photoshoot. ![]()

I might be a little biased, but China. 8 D lmao Just a landscape, nature freak. And China is so vast (non-East Coast, of course) and filled with beautiful nature. I would never say no to that. ;3
And Southeast Asia. They got beautiful mountains and forests too. 83 |

Unfortunately, the bridge that will pop up first is now broken and though it has been repaired, has blue rope keeping it together. I just got the idea of a photoshoot when I just got right next to the church, and Servant of Evil came on my MP3. I might do Cantarella with my friends there.

My favourite is actually in my backyard and in my front yard.
Example of a photo from the front yard: http://midnight-dance-angel.deviantart.com/#/d54d3s1 Back yard: http://midnight-dance-angel.devianta...play-302787486 I want to see about photos at my cottage too... MORE TREES! But I'd love to do a shoot at La Basilique du Notre Dame in Montréal (I go to Montréal 3-4 times a year, and haven't taken a shoot there yet!) http://www.planetware.com/i/photo/no...al-cdn1140.jpg Indoors would be to die for, but I doubt I'll ever see the inside in person. http://photos.igougo.com/images/p197...e_Interior.jpg
