Lion from Steven Universe!!

I really adore Lion's personality, even though he doesn't have any. So I really want to cosplay as him, in a quad suit.
Here is what he looks like.

This is my first quad suit and so Im trying something new.

I have a basic idea of certain parts like the teeth are from Sculpey and perhaps his nose as well ( though I want a little plush of it). How to keep the feet clean would be the same as the jack frost invisable slippers, etc.

Mainly what I don't know is the basic pattern, how to make the suit, making sure everything fits, making the mouth movable, making the tail movable, how much could it be, where can I get really long and fluffy piles of hair, should I walk out side with this suir/how do I keep it clean, storage, etc? Or where should I place the head since the head is way smaller then my head.

I think the built seems to be more simplified then Entei's design, where I have to make a screen on the chest to see:

I want lion to be very soft and huggable, just as steven hugs him.

Any tips on this would be very helpful.

Only progress I have so far is making the DTD. Though my dummy keeps bursting open.

I actually promise Im doing as much research as I can. I saw even some good tail articulation.

Here are some tutorials I will use for my suit:

http://rarsuit.livejournal.com/44876.html

Stilts I will use for the front:

Here is this for the head, but Im wondering if there was some cheaper glasses that I can use that are just as good, or how to rigg it so, its for quad suiters. Or do me a solid and translate the tutorial better? Haha, its unlikely, but its worth a try.

But some specifics like, how long fur piles I need for lion's hair or what build, or how to make lions eyes light up as I open his jaw or even how to rigg the glasses specifically for quads. I would really like to do a little eletronics at least in the head.

I recognize this is pretty hard task, but I'm willing to go through with it. So far, my budget would be in the 1000s but Im willing to go higher. My money flow is coming from the art money I earn.

I don't have a set due date, but I did plan this for about two years, because I have art school and I plan this as a side project for me to do off and on.

I also picked lion because he seems simple enough to modify to what ever or make.

Hi! I came across this post while looking up Lion cosplay ideas myself.

If you're still working on this, please let me point you to the LiveJournal fursuit community: http://fursuit.livejournal.com - they're an INCREDIBLY helpful resource for building fursuits quadsuits, and partials, as well as for costuming advice in general. I've learned a ton from them, they're super welcoming and friendly, and I think they might be just the thing you need for this.

Hope this helps! Please post pics when your Lion suit is done; I wanna see.
