Ever since the voice, they kinda came back on the scene harder than ever. They only had like....one big song between then "Wake up call".

I personally like that song "Sing along to my stereo" but it's actually Gym Class Hero's song I believe. He just does the chorus. Moves like Jagger is annoying (does Jagger even HAVE moves???) but the "Take it all away" song was ok, it was closer to their old sound so therefore not as annoying.

OH. I totally forgot that Levine was a judge/ host/ coach/ monkey on the Voice... I should know this, my friend talks about it all the time.

I haven't consciously heard anything past Songs About Jane, so I'm completely in the dark about most of what you just said...

Yes.
It consists of him putting his hands on his hips and wiggling like a doof.

The only reason people sing about him nowadays is cause his name rhymes with "swagger" which was a stupid word to begin with.

Yeah, that's not annoying at all. Fuck you, Maroon 5. Fuck you with sensationally long cacti forever. The worst part is that I thought you were all dead.
Is it bad I like that song...? Yes...I believe so. But then again, I like Maroon 5.

Nah it's not bad, it's just all over the radio and paired with the repetitive chorus it CAN get on ones nerves xD

I'm formally declaring war on you.

Sorry, but a fifteen year-old female enjoying contemporary pop music is where I draw the line.

LOL funny story. So I went on a cruise before my freshman year (high school obviously) and I met these two girls and we all liked Death Note, and I happened to mention how I was in love with Light....and they said I was like Misa so I ended up closet cosplaying Misa for like...a year. But I still thought she was annoying. But even so....for a while, I got my friends to call me Misa. And that's why my name's Misaki on facebook....because I still like being called Misa.
I will admit though, I kinda love her clothes and think she's really cute.

COME WITH ME. TO THE EMERALD CITY.
I mean...to New York. And we'll totally go see it. XD
What raffle? What's TKTS? XDDDDD
By the way, your wording is quite coincidental...because the show DRad is in is How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying. (How to Succeed. My friends...are HP fangirls.)

I have to study for Latin now. Thankfully, it's a fairly easy chapter, and the test seems to be short-ish, so I don't have too much to do. But still...my eyes hurt from being open for so long. I didn't sleep at all, because I was excited for the entire bus ride to school, then PSATs, then the trip to Broadway! It was an amazing day (PSATs have already been blocked from my brain) and I had tons of fun seeing Wicked with my friends! My one friend said she'd get the the Grimmerie for my birthday/Christmas present. I squee'd. XD

I liked it until the point ShinobiXikyu mentioned, as well. And L forever.

That whole foot-washing thing was kind of weird, though. I didn't know if they were going for a biblical vibe or a creepy vibe, but all I got from it was, "Wow, that was odd."
I think I recall hearing that, and frankly it wouldn't have surprised me to find out he dies. But it is disappointing as I find him to be the more interesting character. In many ways it feels as if Light was pushed into the lunatic mold 'too hard'. His intense need to feel Godly and ring in a new world seemed to spawn out of no where, which I admit is really what most people would say about that nice normal boy in seat 5 when he looses his shit. But at times his madness seems a bit too contrived. As if he's simply trying too hard to be insane.

Out of the two of them I find L to be a more interesting lead, a character who's one step ahead of a man who views himself as the ultimate God and can constantly one-up him. That regardless of his ultimate fate, he was 'better'. Out of the two of them he was/is the 'genius', mad men are aware of their insanity and it is ultimately what blinds them and destroys them.

I also quite liked when the two where being admitted into college and where reading the passage in front of the crowd and L was holding a bit of paper in front of him and as he finished it pans over to show he didn't have anything written on the paper in the first place.

Light comes across as a privileged youth with far too large an ego, and a god complex that can be realized. The unwarranted sense of self-importance can become grating on my nerves after a while.

I am on episode..12 I think? It's where Misa goes to Lights house and does her obnoxious little begging bit to get him to date her.

So far I am thoroughly disappointed with Misa, who based on her Manga designs I was hoping to be far more interesting then she has so far turned out to be. Her personality, as of now, is rather bland and I feel as if more could have been done with this type of character. A fanatical follower of his new world ideals with the same abilities at her disposal, and even greater ones then Light, and yet she falls so incredibly short. Becoming at first introduction nothing more than a dribbling moron.

To be fair, She has only been recently introduced and I am greatly hoping she turns out to be far more devious and intelligent then has been displayed. Such a character premise could be used for quite a few fantastic plot devices, but I am skeptical of her actual use.

I am not familiar with the creator of DN at all, and only just recently started watching the series. But if Misa is any indication of the attitude towards women it would not surprise me. Then again Japan seems to be lagging behind in terms of how it views women and most females I see in anime and manga are very similar to the Sakura (Naruto) type set out as a standard.

Perhaps that's why I enjoyed Ghost in the Shell so much, it was refreshing to have a female as the lead who isn't necessarily a 'role model' for other girls but just as flawed and imperfect as male counterparts, but is far from being a dunce.

Edit: This was I think the first image of Misa I saw and what made me hopeful that she'd turn out as....far far more then she's ended up being.
