I was so tired after I got home yesterday, that I have absolutely no memory of what on earth I did, besides fall asleep in a really awkward position at the computer, studying physics. I think I did okay on that quiz, but I was half asleep for most of it. XD
But I did remarkably well in that Latin test yesterday, for having studied for ten minutes before the test. Yay 97!
....and I went to bed early-ish last night, and am still dead. I was tired and lazy for two and a half hours of dance tonight.
This concludes my senseless rambling for tonight.

Wtf... I would never want to be a traveller (Watching my Big Fat Gypsy Wedding). Once you're married you're practically your husbands mother/slave. You have to ask when to leave, clean everything, cook for your husband, do all the housework...

If I was one I'd be like "Screw you, do your own laundry..."

Plus accept it without question at about fifteen or sixteen. Marrying way too young is basically the norm for a lot of gypsy girls/women. (and the men usually at least wait until they're legally adults, by comparison)

Yea this girl is 18 and is considered an "old maid" Jesus.... o.o

And they dress the little girls up so..... ugh... at their communions. They slop on make up and hair spray.

And the dresses for communions and weddings both.... don't get me started. The clothes they wear in general are ugly and usually look like stripper clothes.

Don't wanna rag on another culture, but I don't always like every aspect of cultures.

To be brutally honest, I find very, very little appeal in gypsy culture. Probably the only thing that somewhat does is Roma music; in college it was part of one of our theory/history units. And there's one gypsy town that's actually very popular for the amount of brasswork and metalworking the inhabitants do and thus decorate the village up with (and actually find steady work with). But I've only heard of the one place, it seems to be by no means a common thing otherwise.

My grandmother is from Romania and hates gypsies so so much. I remember watching hunchback of notre dame and loving esmeralda to have her spit and call her a whore thief and murderer.

The thing is.... the gypsies of today are not like Esmeralda. She's also a Disney character (probably the most sexy of them) but the story in general was prettied up from the original.
