Yeah, Canada's certainly has problems, but it's not nearly as bad as no Universal health care. In particular, we have a crippling shortage of family/GP doctors and nurses; in some towns, hospitals don't even have regular/constant ER hours because there's not enough people to staff them. And in hospitals not in sizeable towns/cities, REALLY long waits are a constant because of the shortage too. And because a huge amount of people are now getting old and feeble, hospitals are out of beds because so many have to stay there while they wait to get into nursing homes.

That said, though, to actually go get seen by a doctor when you're sick or injured or whatnot, won't cost anything. Prescriptions aren't free though, but I've never found any of them that pricey. A 10-day round of antibiotics is usually $15-20, my b.c. pills are $45 for three packs at a time, and my Dad's thyroid medication (though he gets it covered on a drug plan at work) is about $150 a year. ...Heh, just had my prescription refilled today, too, plus obligatory weight, heart/lung check and blood pressure with it. Now, if only they would make dental and eye care free. THAT takes a giant chunk out of the pocket or ends up having to be ignored if you're not insured.

Yeah, that's reason enough to smother his face in his own shit --- I'm already on record here for saying I didn't know who he was. And after doing a bunch of searches on the internets, I didn't come out of it feeling I had discovered an upstanding individual. More like a leech suckling to the teat of the music/entertainment industry.

...

Something I still don't get is why the majority of them are such bad people, yet so applauded for it. Makes you question where morality stands in all of this.

Hey, I'm from Canada! I'm canadianizing your problems!

Healthcare in canada is also not so sucky (Apart from needing to wait months for an appointment where I live --- it's still covered by the government). The fees Emmers' BF had to pay are downright obnoxious. The 42$ was likely the fee for the lowest 'time' rounded up.

And Canada is part of North America, I beleive? I did look at where you are listed. xD
But saying canadianizing would seem week for my point, as I hear way worse things about the US's general health care. And nothing really bad about Canada's.*
One more reason to add to my ''Why I like the country where I live in comparison to other countries''-list.
Me - ever the optimist.

*Actually, I never really hear anything bad about Canada.

No one refers to Canada as "America".

Right. I didn't either. But whatever, just go on nitpicking other people's posts with cleverly placed quotes, if it brings you joy.

Yeah, the continent, just not the same country.

...

Then again, it makes me wonder why we call people from the USA 'americans' like it was after the entire continent.

Because they live in the United States Of America. People are rarely named after their continent over their country when you're only dealing with one country, after all. Otherwise you'd be able to call the ROI Irish "British" without getting lynched.

I am aware of Canada being a separate country. I hope you now know that.
And I meant ''Americanizing'' as in the continent North America, not the just the country of the United States of America. Which, as I am also aware of, does not make up the entire continent.

...
...

My goodness, did that word just open an entire discussion?
Fine. I apologize.

I do --- your latest posts feel defensive a little. So I'm going to be pre-emptive in telling you that I'm not undermining your knowledge of anything regarding some place of the world that's thousands of miles away!

This is just an exchange I started by making a facetious comment on something you said regarding adult problems

I'm just having fun here --- playing around.
