Fuck, people, TAKE YOUR LAUNDRY OUT OF THE DRYER WHEN IT'S DONE. I am SO sick of trying to do a load on the ONE washer and ONE dryer for TWELVE apartments, and EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Someone leaves their crap in the dryer for about an hour and a half. Even putting up a "Washer takes 25 minutes, dryer takes 45. There are TWELVE apartments and ONE washer and dryer, so BE PROMPT" sign did shit-all.

If someone leaves their stuff in the machine too long, they are responsible for whatever happens. If all of your clothes should happen to fall out of the dryer and on to the floor, well gee mister I guess thats just too bad. Better pick up your shit earlier next time.

I've done that on a few occasions. If I have to wait longer than ten minutes after the cycle's done for them to get their shit, I take it out and put mine in, and if your clothes are a wrinkled heap when you finally come down to get them, too bad for you. I'm not mean enough to toss them on the filthy laundry room floor, though. Ugh. A few years back there was a couple that was seriously HORRIBLE with the laundry (thankfully, we usually just went to the laundromat, but the laundromat now costs even more than doing laundry in the apartment...). They'd wash seven or eight loads a WEEK, one day a week (and always a weekend, when everyone else is also trying to do laundry), and never, ever be prompt about it. So they'd be doing laundry literally all day already, and then their shit would just sit, and sit, and SIT for two or three hours before they went to go pick it up. And worst of all, if you took their stuff out so you could wash some of your own stuff in the next 24 hours, they'd get snarky about it like it was THEIR machine.

Uggggh. At my old apartment we had a guy that would lurk around when my roomie and I would do laundry. We ended up finding him pulling our bras and panties out =/ We called the apartment security on him when we caught him once (he hadn't seen us) and they called the cops and escorted him away. Now I make sure to try and get a place with my own washer/dryer. It's worth the extra money x.x

Ew, that is creepy. Worst thing, I think, for our apartment laundry room is for a while (til the cops got called at the landlord evicted the people for doing more than just pot. They were also selling drugs out of their window), a bunch of college-aged pukes were smoking pot in the laundry room on an almost-daily basis and leaving the windows WIDE OPEN, regardless of the weather. And inviting the high school kids to join them.
