Riiiight, I remember that! I also thought it was BS that Scarah won; Arachne would clearly be one of the coolest mass-produced dolls ever.

EDIT: It just occurred to me that the uncanny valley mannequins on the temporary main page look like Arya Stark.

Man, it took me almost three hours to completely cclean out my fishtank. There was an algae bloom that started last week and was making the water murky but no other sign of where it was... so I had to completely take apart the tank, wash everything with bleach and boiling water (and rinse about ten times) and then of course, set it back up again. BUT, the tank's fantastically clean now. ^_^

OK then; sleep occurs in 90 minute cycles, in which only the last 20 minutes or so (known as REM or "Rapid Eye Movement" sleep, due to the fact that they eyes move around under their lids; someone in REM sleep is always dreaming) actually contribute to the benefits of sleeping. If you were napping for less time than that or you woke up in REM sleep then it probably didn't do much.

You don't have to achieve REM levels in order to have a restful nap. In fact it's reccommended that if you do nap to NOT take one long enough to enter REM.
The short duration of what people call a "power nap" is designed to prevent nappers from sleeping so long that they enter a normal sleep cycle without being able to complete it. Entering a normal sleep cycle, but failing to complete it, can result in a phenomenon known as sleep inertia, which can leave you feeling groggy and worse before you napped. (which might be why jessthecoolcat feels so tired still)
Short naps (10–15 minutes) can improve alertness directly after awakening without the detrimental effects of sleep inertia associated with longer naps. In order to be the most effective it's said that a power nap should just be limited to just the beginning of a sleep cycle

.....I really want to take a nap. But I still have a chapter and 10 pages to outline/learn and math homework. Oh, and English homework.
