Oh, one more thing, I don't think you can really control being anorexic at such a young age. Some people are just born with a smaller frame so if they aren't eating so much it's probably hard for them to keep a healthy body. Sorry trying to make sense without pissing people off after being tired after work is difficult, lol.

Malnutrition is quite a bit different from anorexia. Anorexia almost always has its causes rooted in psychiatry/mental health, not "if they can eat enough to stay healthy".

Ahh my god I just can't........I don't think at that age I ever really cared about more than what I was wearing. I was just kind of bad at choosing clothes. But seriously, I don't understand what would possess such a little girl to stop eating altogether, let alone want to die.

I love food. XD I want cupcakes.

Also, eight year old wearing makeup. WEARING MAKEUP.

Such sad states of affairs with so many girls make me quite glad that my dance studio is very clear that they're there to create confidence and positive body image, not encourage students to be thin/lose weight, unlike a lot of the "elite' dance schools. (Not saying I don't feel self-conscious at all, being a size 11 girl in a ballet class with nobody else larger than a size six and me stuffed into a very unflattering leotard... but at least I'm the most experienced dancer there!:P) One of the students in adult ballet was mentioning that her friend wanted to dance too, but she was afraid she'd be considered too chubby. I told her "Tell her friend about me. I've been dancing for nearly a year, I'm a size 11, I love dancing ballet, and your size really doesn't make a lick of difference in how you dance."

(And yes, I agree that too much tv exposure only makes it worse. While some girls might be smart enough to think "That can't be real" or "It's not right that we should all have to look like that", far too many don't.)

Poor kids, with these parents....

Edit: Okay, I can feel my neurons just deteriorating. But it's better to watch than trauma shows on Discovery Health.........I hate watching those.
Yeah. Merlin was better.

I don't like thunder and lightning. Unless I have someone to cuddle with, but it's a weeknight so I'm at home. But I get to spend all Weekend at Gf's house.

It's really not shocking to be honest. Young girls (and boys!) are developing the disturbing signs of eating disorders earlier and earlier as we as a society continue to sexualize the female body to impossible standards and young girls bodies are continually being pushed to sexualized extremes. Even in programming meant for a pre-teen crowd;

Anyway, I"m totally done watching that stuff. Can't stand it. Back to my videogame music and bio, since I kind of have an exam and a practical tomorrow. I'm totally gonna pay for all of this time I"ve been procrastinating tonight.....

Girl, if we account for all the posts you've made about procastinating on your homework in this thread alone, it's a surprise you got *anything* done at all!
