I just got back from Ramencon. It was so much fun! I had the best time. I caught the Con Plague though.. Although considering how many conventions I've been to in the last two months I'm impressed that this is the first time I've gotten sick xD

I am making lettuce wraps for myself and using the rest of the ground beefers for Boyfriend to have nachos, i like nachos and all but since he didn't care for the lettuce wraps I figured I'd put the sauce to good use.

His brother picked him up from work today and I just hope they get home alright. I am a little nervous and have to keep telling myself that the odds of them getting in an accident are so slim that I am going to drive myself nutters if I worry too much

The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Clay, by Michael Chabon! It sounds juvenile enough until you hear that it's about a pair of cousins endeavoring to write a comic series in the 1930s and thus escaping their lives through their experiences, it turns into a really awesome book. I fell and fell hard for it, and haven't wanted to reread something so much since 'Special Topics in Calamity Physics' and 'Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell'!

I did also finish Le Horla (which fell flat because I'm not a huge horror fan) and Crucible of Gold (which I have mixed feelings about, but it set me on a solid Temeraire high and left me sobbing over deaths of extremely minor characters pertinent to no one but myself).

I'm starting Don Quixote tomorrow, and then probably one of the books my aunt lent me!
