They always give us trouble in the summer, either by settling in the sink or if we don't throw out the bananas soon enough after they're overripe, but it's October and they're SWARMING around the house! I have no flipping idea how they got that bad and bug spray isn't killing any of them. I also put up a trap that somewhat works (I take a little pie plate, put a bit of either ornge juice or vinegar in it, poke some holes in plastic wrap and wrap it over the pate, flies get stuck in it), but it too doesn't seem to be helping. I wonder if I have any flypaper left. Last time it got bad I stuck some just over the sink and stuck a few drops of juice on it, it was COVERED in fruit flies after a few days

FI itself was crud. HOWEVER, much like most Marvel events, some of the tie-ins were good! Deadpool's was hilarious, Avengers Academy/Amazing Spider-Man were solid, Journey into Mystery was fantastic and Uncanny X-men was really good, and fairly self-contained. The downside is Greg Land art. The upside is a new spin on the Juggernaut vs X-Men rivalry, with some shocking results.

On topic- While I don't care much for "Once Upon a Time" or "Grimm", let me plug Vertigo Comics' "Fables" here, which has been doing what those shows have been doing for a longer time, without the restraints of a budget. It owns, I assure you.

I love a bit of Coheed and Cambria, but I count it as a guilty pleasure as much as KISS. My old housemate used to have Crazy Crazy Nights on vinyl, and I swear to God, if you put that shit on a ridiculously high RPM and commence boppin', you will never frown again. And coincidentally it sounds like it is being sung by Claudio Sanchez.

I'm sorely tempted to buy both seasons of GitS...I've found the boxsets of each for £15 each, but it's from a site I had a bad experience with last time I bought something off them....

Also, I'm taking a break from making my goggles by making a headband.

I believe I still have "Crazy Crazy Nights" on CD. I must check the tower of CDs sometime in the future. That is a fun album though. I was a pretty big fan of post-makeup KISS, as both "Creatures of the Night" and "Revenge" were both excellent albums, and probably up there with "Alive 1" "Destroyer" and "Love Gun" as some of the bands best work. Additional fun fact- KISS' Psycho Circus tour was the first concert I ever went to...in general, as well as IN 3-D!!!

I'm still newish to C&C, only owning "IV", "Year of the Black Rainbow", and obviously "The Afterman". Tech/audio-wise they're very impressive. Some of the early tracks on Afterman have some neat audio tricks that I dig. Although I feel they're very much a studio band, and not a live one. I could be wrong though. Hopefully they're more like "Rammstein" live, than say "LOL Dragonforce", the Milhouse of Metal. That being said, they're hell of talented, and one of the few modern mainstream rock bands I still enjoy.

Re-Rude Ponies. I'll forgive it for now. I expect such behavior from some ponies, BUT NOT FLUTTERSHY, THE SUPERIOR PONY.

Speaking of MLP, I have no less than 3 MLP stories from NYCC, none of which are creepy. That's got to be a new personal record of sorts.

I've been meaning to get it on DVD for ages (the reason I'm worried has less to do with the site and more to do with the courier they tend to use, though).

I HATE the GiS movies. Visually brillaint, but empty on the instead. Opposed to the magna, which again brillaint visual, but drowning is fan servic and techo-babble.

SaC however works because it's great visually, and has a fantastic story structure/narrative. There's character development, and the cast shines because of it. SaC is ownage.
