Sailormoon characters are like..8 heads tall and 70% of that is legs.


Okay derp, I should probably explain what I meant by 'heads tall' because it just occurred to me how freaky that probably sounds...'heads tall' is in reference to the height of a character based on stacking circles the size of the characters head (before it's fully rendered that is, not counting hair or headwear)one above the other until the length of the circles is the weight of the character.

8 heads would essentially mean 8 circles, the size of Usagii's head base, stacked one above the other making up the length of her body.

Most people would be around 6-7 heads tall. I am pretty sure Sailor Pluto is like..9 and a half heads tall.

Even chibiusa has long slender legs. Keep in mind that she's meant to be 5 years old at the introduction to the series, in the anime she seemed to be made a bit squatter but here's her with Usagii in the manga art style:


True that she may have aged chronologically with the series (IE: one year in the series=her aging 1 year) but for someone who's suppose to be pre-pubescent she's got the legs of a deer.

Even in this slightly more age appropriate looking propotioned picture her limbs are spindly:


I love me some Sailormoon, and I like the art style, but it's always kinda had this air of lolita-fetish to it for me and I think the characters having obscenely long spindly legs is what makes it.

To be honest, fiction lives outside of reality. Imagine all the characters in your favorite shows looking like regular people? (PS: Kaiji's character design is ugly and people tend to hate it XD)

I just lined up Sailor Pluto's height, she's about 11 heads tall.

her torso is like, tiny when cut off in portions to where her abdomen would start. From her abdomen down to her knees is like a decent enough length of about 2 heads but her spindly legs taper off into 5 heads from the knees to feet. That makes her legs as a whole 7 heads tall.
Holy balls.

Her proportions accurately have sizes more like "2 and 1/3rd heads tall" but still, omg.
