I've just discovered that my lightbox doesn't work too well on a sunny day, so I'm going to be back to doing documentation until the evening. >_<

 My morning: Me: MEGHAN! I need help! Peanut escaped his ball has and has the cat cornered! Meghan: Don't you mean... Me: No! The hamster has Freya cornered! And now he's chasing her! Yes, my girlfriend's cat got cornered and chased by a dwarf hamster. (I know some people may have seen this on FB, sorry for the repeat)

The best part - once we taped him in to the ball he kept cornering the cat!
He's a very good hamster, he's a bit skittish, but he never bites and he'll let me hold him and pet him for a few seconds. Then he wants to go back to his first love - his wheel.

Aww, what an adorable little dwarf hamster! Those little dudes CAN be rather insane sometimes. One dwarf hamster I knew had a favorite pastime of stuffing her cheeks to capacity and emptying all the seeds out all over my hand and onto the floor. It's like she'd actually wait until she was out of her cage JUST to do that

Peanut likes to run. In his wheel, or around his cage. And he stuffs his little plastic house full of fluffing and burrows in. We thought he'd escaped once, he was so well snuggled. (That's when we moved him so he wasn't in the path of the Air Conditioner.)
We're thinking about getting a chinchilla, as like a Christmas gift to each other. (I know pets aren't gifts, but if we split the start up cost for a chinchilla 50/50 it equals roughly what we planned to spend on each other).
