I honestly vote duplo blocks or something similar, if you don't go with art supplies. They are bright, primary colors and packaged relatively neutrally.

But art supplies are good as well - include a pair of child safe scissors if she doesn't have them. (Kids her age love to cut out shapes, and again it'll help develop motor skills. Thicker crayons/markers are appropriate for her age group, opposed to the thin ones.

Thanks guys! I wasn't sure if it would be considered inappropriate to stray from what the parent generally considers 'common' in this sort of situation. I think I might put together a mini pack of building blocks (not necessarily LEGO's but something appropriate for someone her age)and art supplies with maybe a Eloise or Madeline book. I think I could put together a small pack like that relatively reasonably and hopefully it won't be looked at as something inappropriate.

Your plan sounds very appropriate to me ^_^

I think that's a great plan!

I'm so excited - Meghan accidently told me that she got me a plush turret from portal for Christmas.

I have to be careful about my caffeine take, anyway, since I turn into a raving lunatic when I overdo it. Too much sugar is definitely more of an issue for me but that's a bridge I'll cross when I come to it. And have, actually, since I had GD.

Honestly, Drawberry, if Brando's family is that serious about "raising a proper little girl" that they won't even let her play with blocks or markers or read books that aren't about princesses and covered in glitter, that is for real messed up.

It's hard to tell if someone is mad or upset at you from just chatting and IMing online. Lol, sort of like how sarcasm sometimes doesn't come across well online :/ Will find out soon though I think...

I'm feeling stab-y. That's a feeling, right?
It's not fun to wake up from a nap to your mom caterwauling your name.
I know you broke your foot, mom, but seriously, can't you just call me without screeching?

Didn't get to say so earlier, but I like this plan! Art supplies are always fun, and Madeline is a great book series.

I STILL love jigsaw puzzles. The more difficult, the better. Sadly I haven't had both the time and space to put any together for years

When I visited my grandmother as a kid, she would let me put together all of the puzzles that she collected for her church bazaar "in order to check if there were any pieces missing".

Ugh I'm going to kill something.

I am now determined to stretch and be warm at any opportunity during school tomorrow and stretch during every opportunity possible during rehearsal. Yes. They will LOVE me tomorrow and we will not get yelled at.
...I will also wear my new shoes, which have elastics sewn on them, so that they won't fall off.

And now, time to start homework. This feeling of not having touched my homework at 10:30....I did not miss it.

I was looking through some boxes of mine and I found my old Sailor Moon VHS's.

There's also some Dragonball and Dragonball Z ones in there too.
