Bit of a change of topic:

I'm headed off to New York for a day trip on Tuesday, and we have a couple free hours in the afternoon to explore Times Square. Anybody have any suggestions as to places I should check out, either shopping or food-wise? Thanks!

UM UM. Like a few blocks from the hotel in Time Square that looks out over the building that the new years ball drops from is a cool burger king that like, has a little escalator you take to go down inside of it because it's underground. I think that's really cool. There's also this really cool deli called Roxy's between 46th St & 47th St and the last time I went I ordered Matzo Ball soup and the Matzo Ball was like the size of my two fists. It was really good.

Also get some food from those creepy street carts because it's fun. Also their hot chocolate is pretty good.

Times Square gives me hives, so unfortunately I'm not much help in that regard. There's a Sanrio store there, though, and Nintendo World in Rockefeller Plaza. FAO Schwarz is fun around Christmas time, it's at 5th and 58th. Other than that, I can't think of anything much; a lot of the food there is lackluster and overpriced even by NYC standards.

Emmers, I definitely agree about the street cart food, it can be surprisingly delicious. I'll have to see if I can find that place for lunch too, it sounds awesome!

Penny, I totally forgot about Nintendo World, thanks for mentioning it! I already have the Sanrio store marked down on my map, and FAO Schwartz as well.

(I'd still love to hear from the rest of you, if you have any ideas!)

Surprisingly I did not go to either the Nintendo Store or the Sanrio Store. My mother hates both so..never really got a chance.

I love how I immediately thought about places to eat >> I will say however I have NO idea the price range of the places I've eaten out at because honestly my mother always paid for it :\ so Penny will have a much more appropriate view on where to eat.


I was checking up on the little shrimpy goldfish that was injured and I've been keeping in it's own tank when I noticed his back fin is growing back! yay!

I'm so mad. I was having so much fun during finale, and then at the end there's a temps lie (tahn lee-ay) (ehem weight transfer) in which I lost my balance because it's a 3/4 turn as well, and then you're supposed to swivel back around on the same foot but I was so concentrated on keeping my balance that I did half a temps lie before realizing that it was wrong so then I was even more off my balance and then we bring our arms slowly up and then flick our wrists into fifth with the last note and I was EARLY!

And that is my rant on how I messed up in finale.
Don't get me started on the variation. :|
