I LOVED Rugrats!
It was a nice night - we had ice cream (well, I had froyo) and cuddled on the couch with my brand new companion cube.

Currently I'm waiting to go get an EEG done. Which means no conditioner or styling products in my hair or caffeine until after the test. I'm dying.

My computer's apparently been on the repair bench since this morning, but I still haven't heard anything from them. I'm getting worried....

Maybe they're busy and haven't gotten to it yet? You could always call them.

They called this morning to let me know they'd started on it (they said yesterday evening it was next in the queue). I didn't see the point in bothering them.

It's all academic now anyway, though. They called to let me know it's been fixed, but I can't get up to their workshop before they close for the night. I'll have to pick it up tomorrow morning.

Little Dude had an EEG yesterday. He was not best pleased with it. I know the tech probably could have told me whether anything was up with the results right then, but I also know they're not allowed to do that for a number of reasons, so I am waiting patiently to see how he did.

I was too exhausted to give him a bath last night so his hair is still full of gunk.

Re: Stories from the Internet. O.k., here's what I don't get. Assuming we take them at face value (which may be a poor assumption) - how are we supposed to react to these things? With the bar story, if you ignore the whole vibe of "working class regular with soldier boyfriend = good; elitist slut in miniskirt and heels with college boyfriend = bad" all I'm left with is "Drunks can be obnoxious and irrational. If you punch one who is bothering you, you are automatically cool." Er, o.k. The first isn't really newsworthy. I don't particularly agree with the latter. As for the IMDB post (which I strongly suspect is a troll) am I supposed to laugh at the person's ignorance and feel superior to them because I am better informed or better educated? Whenever someone links to something and says, "Can you believe that anyone is that stupid?" Well, yes. Of course I can. Am I supposed to be shocked and surprised that someone is ignorant and/or stupid? We all deal with the effects of human stupidity in our real lives. I don't understand why people choose to use the internet to look for examples of the worst of human behavior when they already see the effects of so much of it up close and personal. Reading the stupid things that people do and say, especially when it has no direct effect on my life, doesn't make me feel superior or better about myself. Quite the opposite - it just depresses me that we are still so ignorant and inconsiderate of each other. It's quite overwhelming at times. But I stay on the internet because I have met and continue to interact with some really amazing people there. Oh, and also pictures of cute animals.

There's also "punching people gets you free beer".

Two pairs of eyes...why couldn't they just let it sit slightly lower on the wearer's head?

The bar punching thing was not posted in favor of the tale, I was equally bothered by it.

And the Hobbit screen grab was very clearly done as a joke/parody and I was sharing it as such and not with any intent other then playing into the game it was meant to be. No intent at hinting at my super awesome superiority was meant.

In other news, Mrs.Claus what are you implying?

I hope everything is alright.

They told me I may be sedated, which means I will be too tired to wash the goop from my hair.
I'm not looking forward to the goop.
