Called mother, I guess she toughed a storm to see the grand kids.

She said she had a gift from me given to the kids, I'm thankful for the thought, but man it makes me feel like a cheap douche.

I know the feels mah man.

Or when everyone's like "We won't exchange gifts" and then they give me something but I have nothing for them.

I'm basically going to wait until they are older and buy them something nice, I just don't see the point since they are so young and will get bored of what I get them in a week.

My Aunt and Uncle on my mom's side did this with me and my sister, they brought us to the mall and got me a game boy with 4 games, which I then proceeded to play the shit out of.

A Swagopotamus is a hippo with all sorts of things from various booths at E3 or something like it, learn what swag REALLY is, jeez.

Yeah. Here's mine:
And speaking of Hyrule Historia, I just picked it up and the pages don't lay flat. They don't look like they got wet, which is a huge relief (because I have an artbook that got wet and I was very upset) but even with a huge book I can't get it to lay flat.
Maybe if I leave it crammed in my bookcase for a while it'll be okay...

And thank you, I did! I went looking mainly for fabric for my prom dress. I forgot to figure out how much of what, but I picked everything out! I'm getting so excited to make this!

Not a bad plan. Sorta what my mom and dad did with taking me to Disney World. They waited until I was around 10 or so before they took me on such a big trip so you know..I'd actually have memories of the trip and be old enough to appreciate it.

That's why I'm still kinda sad I went to the Philippines when I was 2! I don't remember a single thing, and my brother was 5 or 6, so he doesn't remember too too much either. (Apparently he turned to my mom and asked if we were the only "white" people there. It's funny because we're all 100% Filipino.)
And what's worse is that I apparently cried all the way there. Which is a loooong way....

Ugh. I'm not going to be on time for work, no fucking way. There's a foot of snow out there, it's still snowing, and I have seen ZERO sign of a snowplow so far. Dad just spent twenty minutes shovelling out the car, the driveway's unplowed, and I don't think the street's been plowed yet either. Taxis are also always swamped in bad weather. Oh, and because the driveways are completely unshovelled, I have to go wait on the sidewalk. FUN. Too bad, work, I'm getting there when I fucking GET there. And of course they didn't give me the number to call if I'm going to be late...

I wish it snowed more over here so I could miss work. We had like, 2 days of snow at the start of December and that's it. Although to be honest I was sick of it by then, so I probably don't wish it snowed more...

Few people here get to miss work due to snow. Late, yes, but unless something like three feet fell overnight or the roads are literally just ice, you don't get the day off. School's a tad better with snow days, but damn did I hate not getting any in college. I didn't live anywhere near campus, so I'd have to struggle through horrible roads for half an hour that anyone with common sense would have kept off of. Whereas I lived a block from high school...
