So, I'm making a cosplay for my friend, but since I can't sew very much at all, I was just going to buy some stuff and alter some stuff.
I found a tutorial on adding a sailor collar, but what kind of shirt do I use? Would a white t-shirt work? Also, what should I do for the trim? Just plain fabric, or rickrack, or some kindof yellow lace?
Also, I was wondering if anyone had a pattern of the design for Act 1, the green band thingy on the sleeves? I only have MSpaint, and it wouldn't look nice if I ironed it on. I was also thinking about screenprinting, and I was wondering which would be better.
I also don't know what to do about the belt. I was thinking "Maybe I could buy it from someone," but I have no idea, so I'd really appreciate some help with that.
The last thing (finally!) is the LEG THINGYS. Those darned leg thingys. I just... what is that I don't even. Does anyone know how I could do that?
(Also, maybe I could buy a belt and leg thingys from someone, if anyone is willing? >w>)

1. yes a regular white sleeveless shirt would work
2. for the trim you can buy some yellow ribbon

and i have no idea what the act 1 green band sleeves thing is.

Also, the Act1 and Act2 sleeves... um, Act1 looks like the sleeves in this picture http://www.shin-otaku.com/blogimage/...gamine-rin.jpg
while the act2 sleeves look more like Mikus. ^w^
