Is there any way we can keep some sort of "official control" over these listings? Last year we had someone flat out sabotage two or three photoshoots by telling everyone that the times and days changed, just to fit their schedule and so that they could be in charge of the photoshoots.

There will be a Sailor Moon photoshoot on Saturday. Time is undecided right now but once something is concrete I will post it over at the tea house.

Hmm, would be a great idea - not sure how to work that though.

Usually the person running the photoshoot is the person who made the thread, but that isn't always the case, sometimes they stop responding or change their minds... I could have a list of whom is in charge of the photoshoot and add that to the thread so people know, and so times aren't changed by someone else...

Any ideas? =)

Aren't the times for all photoshoots listed in the AN booklet? I think if people just trust the booklet and ignore claims of moved shoots, it'll be okay.

From what I understand, the issue last year was not about who ran it, but the fact that people were confused, some missed the photoshoot entirely, and the original organizers were left without people in the shoot they organized, which they were understandably upset about.

It doesn't really matter who runs it as long as the shoot runs smoothly, imo. If people show up when and where they originally planned to, there shouldn't be any issues. As for people whose schedules don't fit with the shoot times... they can host another shoot without spreading false information or see if a compromise can be made.

Last year there was no list in the booklet since they ran out of space/pages to print it on. But the compiled list was posted on the AN website.

Bleach Photoshoot is going to be at 3PM on both Saturday and Sunday and it will be in that small parking lot that no one uses by the flag poles(same place as last year).

Hmm, thats a bit too tedious to read every post of every thread, but if the change is noted in the first post I could presume that the change is indeed legit (which is what I've done for all the above photoshoot listings).

it was handed out on a separate sheet at the doors, but I assumed it was just adverts, but later found it had shoots listed...

Maybe instead of reading all of the posts of every thread, just make a post verifying that the thread creator is still in charge of the thread, and if they are not then ask for the new person who is in charge? It'd save a lot of time reading and would probably get you a quick response. You'd still need to visit every thread thread but it would only be to make one post, and maybe if you would prefer the response PM'ed to you, it'd save you having to re-visit the threads as well. That way, no matter who is active in the thread, you'd be able to get a pretty quick response sent right to you.

I just don't want someone to be like, "Hello! I'm the new lead organizer for the Gurren Lagaan photoshoot! The person who made the TTGL thread is no longer active but emailed me saying I could be the new leader. I know the thread currently says Sunday but the photoshoot is actually happening Friday at 11 am so please put that as the official time! If anyone contacts you telling you that's not the official time, please tell them that Friday at 11 am is the new time for me, will ya? Thanks! ^o^" and then ruin the entire photoshoot.

Like somebody did with at least two or three photoshoots last year.

Maybe the names of those who originally organized the photoshoots can be next to the event they are apart of so that everyone knows that only they can make changes and should be contacted if someone else is trying to take over an event.

Well I doubt there is a fool proof way of protecting stuff, I would hope people from the thread would say "It hasn't been changed!" here so that things don't roll out of hand. I'm checking threads as I go, and if things seem off (as in main post is different from time and there seems to be no consensus in the thread) i'll post in the thread to get some clarity. =)

@ Rose, i'd ask them to PM it, but no one does. My first post mentioned PM'ing me the time for the photoshoot, but I have not received one PM yet there are already a couple of posts here with mention of photoshoots. =P I likely will mention it in hopes of saving me the trouble of tracking down a thread to see if said time is accurate or not...
