help with maka's scythe
I need help making maka's scythe from soul eater:
http://i1115.photobucket.com/albums/...TeR/363623.jpg now I read the threads before and all it asks about is what to use for the rod part and the blade, and I know what to use for that, it's what to use for the round part at the top that's getting me. Last time I tried PVC pipe and it was too heavy and I had a hard time sticking it to the PVC pipe. What I did was filled it with spray foam, but again it was WAYYYY too heavy. so any suggestions would be great ![]()

What do you mean by the round bit?
If you mean the sort of flat-head screw shaped part, then maybe you could just make it from cardboard, backed up with some paper mache (which would be light, easy to glue and strong enough on its own that you could leave it hollow)?

Ah...sorry, my common sense seems to have gone walkabouts this afternoon.
In that case, maybe you could just make it out of a pringles tin?

The pringles tin might work.
This tutorial is what I usually link people to. I've slowly been constructing Spirit's Scythe and used this to base it off of.

What I used for mine is.... Well, you know the center of wrapping paper for Christmas and what not? I took that cardboard cylinder, painted it, and slit a clean line in it with an exacto knife, then cleaning took out an additional rectangle so it fits around the blade. It's perfect for my scythe since the cylinder can be easily pried off so I can access the mechanisms that let me separate the scythe into two pieces.
