Left 4 Dead Witch Claws?
I cant figure out how to make the witches claws from Left 4 Dead.
Does anyone have any good advice? I don't want to do the Halloween nails that you glue on your fingernail either.
Here are some pictures

Thanks!

I actually saw someone at the con I just went to (ikkicon) do a witch cosplay and all they did was make the folded up paper claws like this
http://www.instructables.com/files/d...7ZD.MEDIUM.jpg and just paint them gray and they actually looked really good and hey they are a friggin ridiculously cheap way of doing it, and even if they say break or fold or get ruined just make some back ups at little to no extra costs. And Here is a link on how to make them, http://www.instructables.com/files/d...7ZD.MEDIUM.jpg

Another way could be to adapt a pair of gloves. it might be easier to actually mold the claws onto it and make it look more natural. I am working on a set of Witch claws myself.

How would I do that? That sounds like a good idea though.

I was the witch at Ikkicon. Kinda a last minute cosplay thanks to a friend who really wanted to do Left 4 Dead. As for the claws, just the paper and some acrylic paint. The tip started to bend after a few hours though.

I made a brass hand with talons. Not for a witch character though. I bought some clear finger talons from a costume shop and painted them copper. Took a few coats, black then copper, so the paint would stay on. I cut the fingertips off a black polyester glove and painted the glove a bit. The glove goes over the claws, like the talons have ripped through the glove. But that was the effect I was going for.

I'm going as a Witch to Anime Boston this year, and I'm making them out of paper mache. Layers and layers of paper mache to get the really really long nails, then with wire supports underneith. (Lets just see how long they'll stay on my fingers).
This is how long I'm making them, basically;

I would run with the first suggestion. I used claws like that for my Red XIII cosplay forever-long ago. It's inexpensive and you can paint them however you need to.

I was the witch at connecticon 2009 this year, and I think my witch nails came out really well. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y11.../doneclaws.jpg
I bought some sturdy, yellow dishwashing gloves and cut the fingers off at the base. Then I flipped them inside out and spraypainted them black with paint that sticks to plastic of course. xP If you don't flip them inside out the paint won't stick. For the actual nails I carved a mold out of wood in the shape of the nail, and put fiberglass sheets in the mold. (if you know someone that knows how to use fiberglass I'd suggest talking to them first) I made 10 copies of the nails, sanded them down so they weren't as rough...and spray painted them black. From there I used 5 minute epoxy to apply the nails to the gloves and...tahdah! You're all done!
If you don't have the materials make them, I'm always up for a commission if ya like. :3

Buy some Bugels and put them on your fingers.
Be sure to make the "EEEH HEEEH HEEEH" cackle, though, or no one will fall for it.
