Turns out that this is completely false. Sidwell does have 11 people on their security staff. They cover two campuses. Several of them are part-time. None of them are armed.

interesting, I'd have to see more sources since there were a ton of sources saying they had 11 armed guards. Wouldn't be surprised if they didn't reveal the exact number for "security" reasons.

As a side note today is gun appreciation day. Going the range to exercise my civil liberties.

Pinoy, the origin of that story was a highly partisan Breitbart site. Not only does the article not cite any sources, the link that supposedly leads to a job listing for a night security guard at Sidwell is dead. The Washington Post actually talked to staff and parents at Sidwell. The story is not true.

A ton of sources also said that Manti Te'o had a girlfriend who died of leukemia. One source said it was a hoax. It turned out that the one source was right because no one else bothered to check the facts.

Cutting foreign aid would have almost no effect on the deficit. The vast majority of the Federal budget is spent on Health Care, Social Security and Defense. The deficit will remain until either:

1. Entitlement programs are restructured
2. Government revenue increases either by raising taxes or an economic boom

The US patent system is (apparently, I don't know anything about patent law) completely broken compared to the rest of the world. Of course that doesn't mean patents are always enforceable, as the above article showed.
