According to an e-mail I got from HRC, the Boy Scouts are considering getting rid of its nationwide ban on gay scouts. Although, the decision would mean each individual troop will decide whether to all gay scouts or not. That's not really a step forward at all.

It's really not. Because all the super conservative areas are going to maintain the ban on gays and it won't matter at fucking all.

I meant in those particular areas. Sorry for not being clear.

It isn't that I am displeased about this, I am anything but, but I think we all know that this is just a loophole waiting to happen.

Baby steps are still steps in the right direction.

I was originally going to mention it was slightly better but I ended up deleting the part when I reworded my post. It's really weird that Boy Scouts are just now not requiring troops to discriminate against homosexuals while the Girl Scouts openly accepts transgendered people. That part makes me glad to have been a part of it as well as makes me wish I had joined another troop when mine disbanded.
