Looking for awesome HK people to hang out with...
Hey,
so I am currently in Hong Kong as an Exchange student and I would love to meet some local cosplayers or generally check out the cosplay scene here. So anybody interested or any recommendation what I need to check out? Would love to hear from you guys. |

Hi,
I am in Hong Kong too. RG7 is the next event coming up on April 24. There will be lots of cosplayers there. Can you read Chinese? If you want I can meet you at the MTR and show you the direction since I will be going. http://www.rainbow-gala.com/main.php Other HK Cosplay related site: http://www.hkcosplayers.org

I was planning to go and check out RG7 this month as well! I'm from Canada, and have been working in Hong Kong for almost 4 years now. I've only ever been to one convention here though, one of the other Rainbow Galas. I got there kind of late in the day and didn't wear any cosplay, but it was fun to go and take pictures, etc. Started working on my old cosplay again (finally!!!) although it might not be finished in time.... >__>
It would be so nice to have other people to hang out with!! ![]() |

Thanks for your reply guys! I am so happy to find some other cosplayers, but I sadly don't have time on the 24th...>.<
Maybe we could just meet like this? Or is there another convention coming up. Sadly I can't read chinese....>.< |

There's the Ani-Com at the end of July to August. It gets pretty crowded there and there are loads of cosplayers. I'm planning to go as Akemi Homura. I need some tips on makeup since this will be my first time.... can anyone be my teacher? :P

Well, there will be another event at the Hong Kong Baptist University on April 17:
http://student.hkbu.edu.hk/~su-aca/web/home.php It is a doujinshi selling event, there will be cosplayers there too.

Hmm... I don't think I'll be there. I might go to the next one but this time I'll be cooped up at home revising for exams and trying to finish my costume. =.= I wish i had a sewing machine

Ahh, I see. Are sewing machines very expensive in Hong Kong?
Because I really miss my sewing machine in Germany <3. I could make so nice things. Good Luck with your exams. I know how that feels. I spent all Monday and Tuesday studying like a crazy person <.< |
