I'm reading Atonement Child by my favorite author, Francine Rivers.

It's another one of her brilliant pieces about a college student raised in a Christian home with the perfect life. She's about to get married to this wonderful man in for a major so he can become a preacher. Anyway, she gets raped the night she takes the bus back to the dorm which results in a pregnancy. She cuts off her wedding plans because her fiance wants her to abort the baby. Then she goes home and her father wants her to abort the child too. So after going home, she decides to just do what this one verse in the Bible says about leaving from stressful homes and so she leaves, still not sure what she wants to do with this child in her womb.

I won't tell you the rest. I have two chapters myself left to finish.

GOD BLESS!

In the last 3 days I've read Barrel Fever by David Sedaris, and Girl, Interrupted by Susanna Kaysen. Apparently books under 200 pages, if I have the time, I can read in about a day. Whee!

Gonna start on another book soon. I'm thinking A Scanner Darkly by Philip K. Dick.

I just love Girl, Interrupted I read that in 9th grade with Stick Figure: A Diary of My Former Self, great books. Currently I'm reading Olivia Munn's Suck it, Wonder Woman! & Desire Lines.

Just finished Jon Krakauer's book about Pat Tillman Where Men Win Glory. It was incredibly good, yet enraging, so I chased it with a recent installment of the always sunny No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency series The Double Comfort Safari Club and am now ruining that good mood by reading the Japanese noir Real World.

HEAVY.

A friend sent me a copy of Teresa Strasser's Exploiting My Baby, which I finished in a few hours. Right now I'm reading a horror anthology edited by Peter Straub, titled Poe's Children. So far I'm more horrified by the latter.

I don't know which specific version I had, but my mother gave me a HUGE hardcover volume of human anatomy for artists. I was never terribly talented, but I used to love poring through it and making sketches. It was really useful.

Plus, artistic boobies.

Just started The Wonderful Wizard of Oz. Its about time I read these Oz books. Next'll be the first Wheel of Time book, so many people have raved about that series.

Just finished the first Teddy London book by CJ Henderson who signed it at my last con, which was nifty.
