Followed by a complete life story of the person who died there horrifically, derived from numinous and subtle clues scattered around the vicinity, i.e. "I HEARD SOMETHING" and "THAT SPLOTCH LOOKS LIKE OLD BLOOD".
I want to be very clear that I'm not mocking: I am relating an account, totally factual, of many similar excursions I went on as a wee lass to innumerable dark woody spots, cemeteries, and abandoned buildings (we made do with abandoned garden sheds in a pinch). This is what happened. Therefore, I have seen hundreds of peer-reviewed ghosts and consider myself a fully-vested authority.
As an authority, I can say that in well-lit conditions ghosts are able to cunningly disguise themselves as rodents, birds, tree bits falling, and the friends you brought with you. That is why you must be careful and only hunt them when you can't see them very well.
