Making a Gijinka Recognizable

Hello all! So I feel like this question may be easy to answer, but I'm making a new gijinka costume and I want to make sure people will be able to tell what I'm dressed as. Ideally, I'd show you a picture of what my gijinka is and see if you can guess. But since this is completely original and I don't have a drawing of it, I'll just do my best to explain what I'm going to do.
First off, the pokemon I'm doing is Mamoswine.

Now for my plans. I'm going after an inuit/eskimo warrior type feel with it. I'm going to have brown pants, furry boot covers, and a furry coat. I'm going to imitate the blue around mamoswine's eyes with eye makeup, but also make it warrior-like. I'm also making a spear, where the spearhead is a tusk (I'm already almost done with it). Since mamoswine is so big and doesn't have many defining features, I really want to make sure I'll be recognized by Pokemon fans.

Based on what I'm planning, do you think it will work? What should I change? Is there anything I need to ad?

What a neat idea!!!! I can't wait to see your costume ^_^. I think it really helps to have a plush of your pokemon to cosplay with. Or, failing that, a pokeball to carry around.

That would be your challenge to make it recognizable. *Disappears in the snow*

Could do two spears to hold in both hands for a even more notable tusk effect.

though either way i think from what you mentioned it'll present well enough for people to recognize it.

though gotta be ready for the fact that most people will either mistake you for another pokemon or even another anime or such entirely...

It's the little details that make it recognizable, believe it or not.

I would say wearing blue lens with white frame ski goggles might work really well for this cosplay.

As said before, the little details matter quite a bit
The goggles or even some shaded blue makeup sound like a good idea

I like the idea of blue makeup/paint around the eyes. It would give your cosplay a more primitive feel than goggles.

Maybe you could paint the goggles to look like Mamo's eyes and wear them on your head but also wear the makeup? Not sure how that would look, since it could end up looking like you have 2 sets of eyes, but just in case you like both ideas, you could do that.

I agree more with itoman to be honest. If you're going for a more warrior type look then I don't think goggles would suit (Though that'd be cool for another take on a Mamoswine Gijinka).

What I'm thinking of doing is adding the pokedex number somwhere on my costume. As for the costume idea, it sounds awesome, mamoswine is definitely a unique idea
