New member diffrent topic: Real swords at conventions

whats up guys, im 18 and I just decided on trying out cosplay for the first time. I was pretty psyched about cosplaying as Zazuba from naruto until i realized that every convention bans real swords -_-. I for one think this is a bummer and think its ridiculous that they need to bad them, they should just ban people who cant handle not playing around with real swords at a convention.

sorry if this isnt the right thread I just thought I would introduce myself with a topic insted of my name and age. If anyone cares that strongly about removing my topic I will I am new to posting on fourms as well as cosplay

Hi and welcome =)

As for your opinion about real swords. I'm not going to trust nor expect a con goer to respect a sharp weapon in a crowed building. Con's let us get away with a ton of stuff. A sharp and pointy object ban, IMO, isn't a tough request.

It's easier to ban an idea than an entire group of people.
