Problem with N rubix cube prop

Eyo, I'm going to be cosplaying N from Pokemon Black & White. Here's a pic http://images.wikia.com/pokemon/images/9/9e/N.png

My problem is the rubix cube. I've already started making it (a foam cube covered in spackle and then sanded) and I have the chain. The problem is finding a way to attach the cube to the chain so it's durable enough. I tried putting a hole through the corner of the cube, but it broke off even with the spackle so I had to touch it up. I haven't had much experience making props so if there's a relatively cheap product that will prevent the corner from snapping off I would be ecstatic ;__;

Thanks in advance!!

Perhaps Liquid Nails Small Projects Adhesive would work. You can find it in most hardware stores ^_^.

I agree with `H` glue may be a better bet than holes

also you could try using a thin chain or string with small plastic tubes threaded on, thats what N's chain looks like, this method works better if you put a hole in the cube but you need to do it so its not too close to an edge or corner and not too large

btw this isnt a rubix cube, its menzers sponge

This was how I did it, just take off stickers, etc. Really easy in my opinion.
