What to get a cosplayer for a b-day?

Just as the title implies, I'm looking for things I can buy for my cosplayer friend who's b-day is in two months.

I wanted to buy fabric for her, but wasn't too sure on the color and such. Any ideas would be really appreciated (budget is about $50-$75)

Thank you.

Personally, I've been asking for gift cards to Michael's, JoAnne's or Lowes. While I know it's not as personable as getting a chosen gift. It helps me out more because then I can pick and choose the fabric/materials that I need.

Hope that helps some =)

You could also offer to buy your friend a wig, if she has one in particular she has her eye on.

Other than that, the gift cards work very well!

Gift cards are always a great gift (especially for cosplayers), but maybe you could ask her to make a wishlist for you.

I'd recommend gift cards too. Cosplay stuff is usually something that the cosplayer likes to pick... buying fabric for them might just lead to them not finding a costume that will match what they want to do. If you can find a friend to help you out with just a little more funding I know that dress forms don't come cheap and are highly appreciated =D

Like other people said, gift cards and certain cosplay pieces she's working on is a great present, but you could also buy her anime merchandise. What's her favorite anime? Buy her stuff from that anime (Make sure she doesn't have it already though!). Buying fabrics might not always work because you may not know what certain length or fabric she needs ^^

A gift card is the best possible option, I think, but it doesn't have to be fabric. A gift card to a hardware store could be an absolute godsend if they're making props. Bead shop if they're doing something embellishment-heavy, etc. You said her birthday's in two months, but maybe you can get an idea of what she's working on.
Workin' on:
Tom Petty [Final Fantasy XV] (9%)
Bondage Finch [Bondage Finch Adventures] (12%)
Your Mother [Debbie Does Dallas XXIII] (8%)

Thanks for the input guys.

Seems like Gift Cards are the way to go lol. There's no Joanne's here so I guess I'll haveto buy a gift card online.

As for the cosplays she's working on:
Kagura from Gintama
Ciel from Kuroshitsuji
Okita from Hakuoki
Syaoran from Tsubasa

and some other stuff.

Any inputs on gifts that can be used for these cosplay.

I would purchase them a hand-crafted $100 dollar authenic ocarina and the song book. Ya know...if they were a Legend of Zelda fan. *whistles*

Thank you.
Why don't you put the money you can spend * at your max * on a random debit card and just give it to her with a fancy envelope and a happy birthday card. that way she can buy whatever she wants without having to shop at a store she doesn't like.

Cash-monies. Not a scam like to pre-paid debit cards, not limit to one store/website like gift cards.
