Okay, so I have decided I really want to cosplay Pirate Fem!England, The shirt and pants shouldn't be too hard to figure out, but the more detailed pieces I'm really not sure where I should start or where I should search for patterns or such. I;m a beginner, but I really want to do this and I will figure it out! I have a whole summer of practically nothing to do!

But There are pretty much 3 things I need some guidance on :
The Captain coat, I'm thinking of blue and red because I see a lot of fanarte of Pirate england in those colors, but for the pattern should I just try to find a halloween pirate thing in the style I'm looking for?

Also, for the midsection I want to make it a corset style, for the appearance and in hopes of it camouflaging my bit excessiveness in such area (But it is shrinking... slowly but surely). I just love the whole corset style and everything so yea...

And finally the hat... I'm just totally lost on that...

Any hints or tips will be greatly and wonderfully appreciated!!!!!!! (:
