Ezio Auditore from Assassins Creed II Doublet Help

Hello!

I've been looking around for a sewing pattern of his outer-doublet and hood for soooo long... and I've finally come to these forums in hope of some help. =(

Here are some reference pictures before I explain more!
Reference #1: http://images.wikia.com/celestial-re...enze_image.jpg

Reference #2: http://i81.photobucket.com/albums/j2...g/0f737583.jpg

I have very little sewing experience, so I felt if I had a pattern of some sort to follow... I could eventually let my sewing skills grow by trial and error with the pattern being my base!

I'm looking to make the outer-tunic (or doublet) along with the hood (Which will probably be a seperate piece at first, then I'll connect it to the doublet when it's done. My main focus is the tunic right now though.

I'd love any sort of help with this! The future of my sewing skills depend on it! =o

You have the right idea as far as construction goes. I've had two advanced pattern making classes and here is an example of the pattern I created for the doublet for AC Brotherhood which I based off of my AC II pattern. I dont have any pics of the AC II pattern but this can maybe at least help you see the shapes.

If you're interested I also sell my patterns, PM me for details.

Replying to your post!

Hey!
I'm the guy who needs some help with the Ezio costume pattern. Your idea sounds great (With the pattern and all)... but before I make any solid choices... I was wondering how hard your pattern will be.

I ready some of your descriptions and how there was a lot of "piping" involved... what is piping? Is it something that I could do with my limited sewing skills? I'm worried about getting the pattern and not being able to complete the costume because of my lack of resources and/or sewing skills, lol.

My friend told me to look at these simple patterns ( http://www.simplicity.com/p-2089-men-costumes.aspx ) and tweak them to my needs. The problem is... I don't see collars on those and wouldn't know how to add collars either.

If you could clear some of this up for me, that would be great! Thank you so much for your time! =)

Edit: Oops! I somehow thought this was a PM... I'm sending a PM right now! Thanks! =)
