I think this might be helpful for people.
It's a gallery with costumes from former costume con years and competitions.

http://www.costume-con.org/gallery2/main.php

For people who were asking there were steampunk entries in the historical this past year as historical interpretation. e.g. http://www.costume-con.org/gallery2/...2_itemId=15144

Here is another fun one in interpretation, a Star Wars x Historical: http://www.costume-con.org/gallery2/...2_itemId=15138

Wow... Last year's costume collection was superb! Not to mention very, well, varied. Now I am even more excited to see what everyone is going to pull out for CC32. (to the think tank, Moofy...)

Two random questiions, if I may...
Are there any plans to have a booth/set up at fan expo for registration collection? I noticed (too late on my part XD) there was one at animenorth?

Second, when do submissions for the future fashion folio/ the patterns usually get released etc? Is it a kind of 6 months ahead of a con thing? Probably waaaay to early to worry about but I am just curious.

Thank you!

Alright! I think I will try to commit to two costumes for Costume-Con that year and do nothing new/time consuming for AN. ^___^

Usually they try to get the Folio out to everyone at least 4 months in advance of the con. The patterns for the Single Pattern contest are usually announced a year in advance.

Bit of a problem... I mailed my pre-reg slip and money order off a few weeks ago, but yesterday it came back as "returned to sender". Any idea why? I sent the correct amount, had the right name on the order, the right adress as printed on the paper (I picked it up at AN) and everything.

Very Strange and a cause for concern on this end
Sorry for the inconvenience to you.

I will PM you with an alternative address for now and will look into it with
the post office.

Is there any additional information?
Did it have any writing on it? Did it appear damaged in any way?
Was the Return to Sender stamped on or hand written? Or did it merely return?
Thanks for any clues you can give to help get this sorted out. :/

I'll do my best to get you fixed up with a membership soon.
Cheers!

Hmm, I'm not at home to check the envelope, but I THINK it had a stamp that essentially said invalid adress. I can check for sure later tonight. Nothing was touched on the inside, it hadn't been opened as far as I could tell.

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you signed up in-person, I may not have your email address as the form we had been using didn't have a spot for it. Some people wrote it in, but I'm missing a few. If you suspect I'm missing your email address, please send a note to Costumecon32@gmail.com. Thanks!

I was wondering what the terms of dress code is, more precise, what areas of the female body can't be left undressed.
I'd like to make an ancient hittite royal gown. Depending what the rules are, will mean making a bodice or not/ how see through the material will be. I have a bunch of different designs I'd like to work on, but I want to make sure it'd be acceptable. thanks~

I hope to go too! My three years preparation starts NOW!
