Hello everyone! I know you're expecting Clive-kun, but sadly, she wont be attending AWA this year so she has left her job to me! Hopefully now you all know the drill! This thread is for posting gathering times for cosplay meet-ups and photoshoots. These are a TON of fun and I encourage you to either find one or make one for the series you're cosplaying from!

Post your locations and times in this thread and I'll make the list for everyone's reference. This list will be updated as often as possible and is right in time with the AWA forums list.

PLEASE DISCUSS YOUR MEET UP TIMES IN YOUR OWN THREADS, THEN POST HERE!

Please make sure your posts have the following information:

Please talk to your thread before you post a time, I want to make sure that all drama is kept to a minimum and if there's a conflict, then I will be sure to address it. In the event of rain the outside locations will not be available, so if you're using an outside location, please specify a rain location-- BUT BE WARY OF GROUPS ALREADY OCCUPYING THIS LOCATION! Check before you post!

Locations

The following locations are open for photoshoots. Please read all of the guidelines about the location before deciding. (Pictures of these locations are soon to come)

Fountains: The single outdoor location. Located across the street from the front of the hotel section of the convention center, this is one of the most popular locations. The surrounding buildings ask that no pictures be taken of the buildings themselves in this area. The hotel also asks that no one climb on or in the fountains. Please be respectful of private photographers in the area (a lot of times people pay for those photoshoots so if you ruin their photos, you're wasting their money). This area is great for large groups. This area is large enough for two to three groups, encompassing the lawn, fountains and amphitheater further back.

Elevators: Behind the large elevators in the hotel lobby is a beautiful green area. The background is lush with greenery with an 'ice sculpture' in the center of it. Wonderful for large groups, this is also one of the best places for your group to be noticed. Please watch out for the walkways (this includes photographers) and don't block traffic. Only one group will be allowed here at a time.

Registration: No longer the artist's alley, the registration area is large and uninhabited most of the time. The room has many corners to meet in so please figure out which corner you would like. Please watch out for walkways (even if you're in a corner, the photographers may not be). This is better for smaller groups, but multiple can meet at once.

Dealer's Room: Outside of the dealer's room at the end of the hall, there is a large round area. This area is surrounded by windows and leads outside. A great place for medium to small sized groups, only a single group can meet here at a time. Please do not block the doorways in this area, as this is a high traffic zone. Please be sure to take pictures along the walls, as this frees up a little more space.

Ballroom: As you head down the hall to the ballroom, there is a set of stairs leading down and then up. At the top of these stairs is a large open space against some windows. This space is a great fit for a larger group but only one group can fit here at a time. Do not block the walkways or take photos down at the bottom of the stairs.

I'm going to try not to do too much of this... but I know of a Black Butler panel happening at 2pm on Sat. We normally don't have our schedule fixed until much closer to the show, but this was one that made it on early, so I can mention it. There is also one Friday at 5pm. Knowing the people involved in both panels (and the work they have already put into them) I can say they are "don't miss" for series fans.

I don't want to mess up your process too much, but I also don't want this schedule to get too scrambled once the con schedule gets released in late September. If I see obvious conflicts, I will try to let you know.

So...if you could change the time to re-planning for ours, or even if you have to take it off the list until we get it confirmed, we'll get to the re-planning it. ^_~

Was totally going to mention what Jason said above! I'm about to post up an introduction thread on the AWA forums about the event on Friday! My twin and I will be hosting on Friday and helping with the panel on Saturday. Thanks for working with our panels, you most certainly won't regret it!

Of course! I mean, what's better after a photoshoot than taking the group and invading the panel? ^_~ It would have been a huge waste if we didn't work around it, and I'd feel terrible for making everyone choose - including myself.
