Frozen yogurt, cantaloupe, ice cream, and I also like to freeze chocolate pudding... For full meals, nothing comes to mind. But contrary to the norm, I don't like barbecue at all. Everything I've had was charred and tasted terrible, wasnt seasoned right, was too dry, or I couldnt digest...

Corn is not a vegetable. It is a grain.

And yet, there it is on every food pyramid as a vegetable. Even on the US government website.

Wow.

Wow.

On subject, and barely related to corn, I love giant carnival corn dogs drenched in mustard. That's the only thing I can't replicate in the winter. It's not the same if it isn't deep fried.

Uhhh, honeymelon

Adn strawberries with cream, of course. A lot of our neighbours grow them (I live on the country side) so in the summer there's a lot of places to buy them cheap on our way home.

Also, tons of icecream. My family generally loves icecream and we eat it all year, but in summer we have an excuse for it

Anyways, for me? Chocolate pie, man. Cold chocolate pie. And whatever yummy cold stuff is in the freezer that I get before someone else in my house does.

ICE CREAM, BABY. And lots of it.
I live at Cold Stone at this time of year. Cake batter ice cream with mini marshmallows. Mmmm.

We eat a lot of berries, but fresh fruit is one of the few things that I'm not cheap about so I buy the hot-house stuff all through the winter. OTOH - in June we can go pick our own at the farms. Yay!

I recently went to Pinkberry and it has completely RUINED me for any other kind of frozen yogurt.

Oh, and potato salad. But only home-made. I've never had any restaurant or store bought that I thought was anywhere near as good as mine (except for one diner in Long Island).

Hot-house just never seems as good as in-season produce. I totally do buy it, though; if it's there I'm not going to give up on fresh goodies through the winter.

Have never been to Pinkberry. They're all in the city, so that explains it.

Agreed that potato salad is usually much better off made at home. This is my favorite recipe; it's seriously worth it just for the pickles. I do like a good German potato salad too, though.

Very true - it's always better in season (not to mention cheaper!)

It turns out that there are some near me as well, but they're all in the upscale shopping area where I never go. ):

I always put a few chopped sweet pickles in mine.

You'd think they'd have stuck one in Manhasset's Miracle Mile or something, but nooooo. There's not even one in the Hamptons. I can only assume this is because all rich people in NY can take their BMW helicopters to the city whenever they want a little froyo.

Ice cream... especially our own homemade ice cream. We have an ice cream machine, and have made lots of delicious stuff there... like raspberry ice cream or mint sorbet. Both of them are SO DELICIOUS ASDFHGSDGS

I also love strawberries and raspberries, and watermelon.

Considering that it started in West Hollywood, perhaps the smug bastards feel that we should be honored that they operate on the East Coast at all? Damn them! Damn them and their awesome yogurt! Crap. I might have to hop on the T to Newbury St.
