Guilty Gear: Bridget's Giant handcuff

Hello, I was surfing around google (cosplay.com comes up) about the giant hand cuff on bridget, and i figure out the blueprint and stuff. I read most people used foam to create the giant handcuff, yet is there a specific foam i should use for the handcuff? Because I wondered how does other people are able to create a smooth texture, instead of a bumpy one. Thank you.

thank you once again.

If you want a smooth texture go with high impact polystyrene. the shapes of the handcuff lend themselves well to it.

I cosplayed Bridget a while ago myself. I'm pretty puny, so I was able to take two large foam rings used for flower arranging and carve them into a handcuff. The texture of the foam itself is bumpy, but I used a foam finish to cover it/glue the pieces together. It sanded down to be very smooth. I can't find that particular finish anymore (found this out making a separate project,) but spackle (can be found in pretty much any hardware place) is a really good alternative. Easy to sand, lightweight, and when it's smooth it takes paint really well.
