I will not use Vent any longer.
I just am sick of dealing with 3 second delay and terrible call quality.
push-to-talk is annoying, and so is vent's sound detection technology.

You can turn the push to talk function off you know...

I've never had an issue with sound detection. Personally I love Vent. I don't need fancy video chat for gaming, and it's great because you can set up different chat groups within the same channel. So if your guild has a group chat, you can have several different mini-chats for people who are questing with each other, instead of having to try and talk over everyone else too.

MSN, because it's the only messenger I've ever used. I am still debating whether or not to get a Skype, as it might come useful when I'm off to University where I'll be 4 hours away from my parents.

I use it all.
Trillian gives me: AIM, MSN, Yahoo (+ email accounts), Gtalk (+ email accounts), IRC
Skype is regularly on
I have Teamspeak if needed.
I run a 35 slot vent server (rented server, so incredible quality and no lag).
I use Steam sometimes to contact people.

I actually don't use most of it too often. It's nice to have it when ya want it though.

Other things I've used in the past: Roger Wilco, TencentQQ, Hamachi (used chat function along with VPN),

PS: I can't stand Skype not having a push-to-talk option. I don't use it for voice anymore. It seems like there's always that one person who uses speakers and gives horrible feedback of everything you say. None of the regular gamers on my server use voice-activate, and if someone new did use speakers as well, I'd definitely tell them to change one or the other.
