Whoo, sure is hot outside how do you cool off?
Since summer is upon us, though half over, it seems to fluctuate between hot and not, what do you do on those UNBEARABLE hot days?
Lets keep this a clean thread though. For me? Its meditate or sit my butt down in front of the A/C |

Hot day?
Stay inside! I have no business outside! But if I WAS outside, I supppoooossssseeeeee... I'll wear a coat I suppose. No matter how warm it gets, it IS the UK and it WILL find a way to rain. |

Good thing you can watch anime, read manga, play games, sleep indoors, right?

Summer means it's even more freezing for me than winter. ;_; I find it so absurd to have to have the space heater cranked up *more* in summer than when it is snowing outside. And when I go out, I still have to dress in layers and always take a jacket for all the places that use AC.
Then again, I generate absolutely zero body heat...so I think it is impossible to be too warm outside. ^_^; |

drink water, seek out where a constant breeze blows through, sit there and wait for sweat to dry off.

Complain bitterly. I hate the heat. Normally summers here aren't too bad, but last year was brutal. We don't have central air at home so usually I go low-tech and put a pan of ice in front of a fan and sit in front of that. If schedule and money allow, I'll sometimes drive my air-conditioned car to an air-conditioned movie or mall and hang out there as long as I can. There is a window unit AC in my bedroom but it's really expensive to run so it's a last resort. If it gets to be over 95 I'll turn it on then me, the kids and the cats all just hide in the one room all day.

Half over? It's the start of June, which is the start of summer. >:I (At least in countries whose seasons are the same way 'round as the UK. June, July, August = Summer.)

Also, local coffee shop.
pay $2 for an iced coffee, pay 50 cents per refill. Grab your laptop, find the most comfortable couch/chair under the AC vent, then just hang out there. You make good friends with workers after a while. |

I live in Texas, so it is or close to 100 degrees F everyday during mid May - early September.
When I was in marching band, wearing a hat and keeping hydrated did wonders. Your internal body temperature really affects how you feel. Nowadays, I just kinda suck it up and then crash on the couch when I get home. (And by sucking it up I mean whining every two seconds, "IT'S SO HOOOT~") I have to go cosplay shopping today with my boyfriend and one of my friends, and our shopping center is outside. @_@ So not looking forward to it all.

Complain my sweaty ass off, because I don't have a/c. And if I'm not sticky hot, complain about humidity or half my favourite clothes being off-limits from the heat. If I can, I'll find somewhere with A/C to hole up in for most of the day.

What do I do? SIT INSIDE. We got a new air conditioner this year, and MY GOD DOES IT WORK.
It is blissful. X3@ zizi994: Pardon for asking, but where in Texas do you live? Because I know that pain. DX Good god almighty Texas heat is horrible. (Texas weather in general is also horrible. And bipolar.)
